# Recording Audio

How to capture Microphone and System Audio.

Silkwave's recording interface allows you to capture audio from multiple sources.

### Audio Sources

Use the toggles at the bottom of the recording screen to select your inputs:

1. **Microphone**: Records external sound (your voice, meetings).
2. **System Audio**: Records the internal sound from your computer. This allows you to capture audio from **Zoom meetings, YouTube videos, podcasts, browser tabs, and more**.
3. **Hybrid Mode**: Toggle both switches on to capture your microphone and system audio at the same time. This is perfect for recording conversations where both sides need to be heard - such as interviews, video calls, or team meetings.

### Recording Process

1. Select your desired **Transcription Model** (Apple Intelligence or OpenAI) from the dropdown.
2. Select the **Input Language** (e.g., English).
3. Click the red **Start Recording** button.
4. The app will begin transcribing the audio.
5. You can pause and resume the recording as needed.
