Silkwave is a modern, powerful application designed to streamline your interactions with Large Language Models (LLMs) and audio processing tasks. It combines a feature-rich chat interface with a professional-grade audio recorder and transcriber.

Connect to the world's leading AI models using your own API keys, or run them locally on your device.

- **Cloud Providers:** OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Nebius  
- **Local & Offline:** On-device Apple Intelligence ( **macOS 26+**) and Ollama

#### 2. Audio Recording & Transcription

A complete audio studio that allows you to record meetings, lectures, or online content.

- **Dual Recording:** Capture microphone audio, system audio, or both simultaneously (Zoom, YouTube, Podcasts, etc.).  
- **Transcription:** Convert speech to text using on-device Apple Intelligence ( **macOS 26+**) or the OpenAI API.

#### 3. Multimodal Analysis

Silkwave goes beyond text. You can upload images, audio files, and videos directly into the chat for analysis, or generate new images on the fly.

### Privacy First

Silkwave is built with privacy as a priority.

- **Direct Connections:** When using cloud APIs, your data is sent directly from your computer to the provider. It is never routed through Silkwave's servers.  
- **Offline Options:** When using Apple Intelligence or Ollama, your data never leaves your device.
